About the Project
McDonald’s needed an innovative way to bring its annual Feel Good Marketing Awards (FGMAs) into the metaverse.
Developing a virtual experience that accurately represented the brand posed a unique challenge due to strict visual identity guidelines and the need to design a setting that is both friendly and premium — aligned with an awards ceremony atmosphere.
The virtual experience was designed in two parts:

A virtual gallery showcasing nominated campaigns, and
-
An interactive event hall where the ceremony was broadcast live using the team’s custom streaming system.
This first-of-its-kind metaverse event successfully brought McDonald’s teams from across the world together to celebrate their remarkable achievements.
